We use AI technology, informed by real traveler review data and—where available—our own hand-curated local knowledge, to create custom, day-by-day itineraries tailored to your specific interests, travel style, and budget. The result is a thoughtful, personalized plan ready in minutes.

How do you create my itinerary?

It's a two-part process:

The Data Foundation: Every itinerary is built using a combination of inputs. We integrate real traveler review data from TripAdvisor and Google to prioritize highly-rated hotels, restaurants, and experiences. For select popular destinations, we also draw from our own hand-curated lists of local favorites — and we're continuously expanding this as we grow.

The Intelligent Match: Our AI then takes your unique preferences from the questionnaire and builds a personalized, day-by-day plan around them. It designs days that flow logically, groups nearby activities, and matches your chosen pace and budget — creating a plan that feels both well-informed and personally yours.

Are the recommendations automated or written by a person?

It's a combination. Our AI builds your itinerary by drawing on real traveler review data from TripAdvisor and Google, and — for select popular destinations — our own hand-curated lists of quality places. The assembly — organizing your days, writing descriptive summaries, and tailoring the flow to your preferences — is handled intelligently by our platform.

For destinations where we have curated selections, those inform the recommendations directly. For all other destinations, our system surfaces highly-rated, well-reviewed options and sequences them into a logical, personalized plan.

Think of it as a well-traveled planning assistant that knows how to ask the right questions and design a trip that fits you — backed by real traveler data and, where we have it, local expertise.

How personalized is my itinerary?

Highly. Your plan is built from the ground up based on your specific answers about destination, dates, interests, activity level, budget, and accommodation style. We don't use generic templates. The introductory summary, daily flow, and all recommendations are selected to align with what you told us.

What if I want to change something in my itinerary?

You can edit any part of your itinerary! After purchase, use the "Edit Itinerary" feature to ask for specific changes (e.g., "swap this museum for a park," "add a wine tasting," or "add an extra day"). Our system will revise your plan while striving to maintain the overall structure and style you loved. You can also use the "Replace Item" feature to quickly swap out individual activities or hotels.

Can I get a sample itinerary for free?

Currently, we require a purchase to generate a full, personalized itinerary. We believe in delivering complete, actionable plans of real value from the start. You can, however, see examples of our output and learn about our process on our How It Works page.

I'm traveling with a group. Is this for me?

Absolutely! Our platform is excellent for groups. The questionnaire allows you to represent the group's collective interests and pace. We also offer a Group Trip pricing tier designed for collaborative planning and sharing.

Do I need to create an account to buy an itinerary?

No. You can purchase and immediately view your itinerary without an account. We will offer you the chance to create one afterward to save your itinerary, make future edits, and easily access it from any device. All the benefits of an account are optional but recommended.

What do I get after I pay?

You get immediate access to a detailed, personalized digital itinerary including:

• "When to Visit" advice tailored to your travel dates.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the instant, digital nature of our service, we generally do not offer refunds once your itinerary has been generated. However, we'll consider refund requests in cases of technical failure, significant quality issues reported within 7 days, or generation errors that can't be resolved through editing. How do I know I can trust the recommendations?

Our core promise is "Travel with Confidence." We prioritize quality by pulling in real traveler review data from TripAdvisor and Google, so recommendations skew toward highly-rated, well-regarded spots rather than tourist traps. For select popular destinations, our own hand-curated lists add an additional layer of local expertise.

For all destinations, our AI is instructed to prioritize quality and relevance over novelty — selecting and sequencing established, reviewed places rather than generating speculative suggestions. That said, we always recommend independently verifying key details like hours, reservations, and current conditions before you travel.

What if I have problems or find a broken link?

We're here to help! Please contact our support team through our Contact Us page for any issues. We continuously work to improve our database and link accuracy. If our system can't find a valid external link for a venue, it will simply provide the name and details we have, rather than link to an incorrect page.

Can I give feedback on my trip after I go?

Yes, and we'd love that! For travelers who create an account, we may send a post-trip survey after your travel dates pass to hear about your favorite spots and any suggestions. This feedback directly helps us improve our recommendations for everyone.

Why would I use GlobetrOtter instead of just asking ChatGPT or another AI chatbot for an itinerary?

It's a fair question — and if you've tried it, you already know that a general AI chatbot can produce a rough itinerary. But there's a meaningful difference between a rough list of places and a trip plan you can actually use. Here's where GlobetrOtter goes further:
